Drywall finishers and plasterers surface, tape and finish drywall (gupsum). They apply, maintain and restore plaster and similar materials on interior and exterior walls, ceilings and building partitions to make them more decorative, soundproof and fire-rated.

Apprenticeship Program
The length of the apprenticeship for a drywall finisher & plaster is 3000 hours including one, 12-week block of in-school training.
Responsibilities
Prepares drywall panel sections for painters. applies a ready-mix compound over seams and screw heads reinforces panels by using a perforated or mesh compound applies special coatings and repair drywall blemishes

$42.56 /hr
